Kitchen Construction

The wall discovered behind the kitchen was far from desirable. I decided that if I was planning on having a worksurface and shelf open backed the wall would have to be covered with a better surface. The ply wood was easy to apply as it was basically a rectangular area. The baton strut is a decorative feature used to conceal the gap between the two sides of ply wood as the back wall has a slight curvature. Also instead of replacing the whole panel next to the door I secured a smaller piece to make the surface look neater to cut down on cost as ply wood isn't cheap!!
